Yeah, "It's Alright" helped me see beyond West End Girls (though I did love it too), and Jesus and Mary Chain still gets good play on my home stereo. Also still have the Cocteau Twins record i bought back in'82, and while I don't play them enough, MBV makes me think of the alone times. The way I look at the "phony Beatlemania" line is that those who wanted a piece of the guys weren't necessarily those who could appreciate the tunes and what they meant. death to beatlmania; long live the Beatles!
