It seems a sacrilege to reduce everything to a number, especially since we’re writers and love our words. Except, that superlatives miss the point of using words, leaving us dizzy, set in our ways, and often intimidated to break new ground or to take a stand on a record that changes everything, as Paul Combs declared yesterday for the how-many-times-is-it-now?, birthday of Springsteen’s Born To Run.
