This is not an either/or proposition, as it seems the other responder is suggesting. I buy online at Amazon and Bookshop, and at Bookshop, some money actually goes back to my imdependent bookseller. That seller, M.Judson in Greenville, SC, is open and you can reserve 30 minutes to yourself to browse and shop. I love the feel and smell of books, the impulses to talk, browse. The pure feel of a bookstore. Online, while great, is not the same. Thank you, Tom, for a very good read!
