It’s almost “Where’s Waldo” time

Today, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced that the Georgia vote recount was over and that the Biden/Harris ticket had indeed won. That means, for those counting that,

TRUMP LOST.

Raffensperger also stated that he supported Trump, voted for Trump, and thinks that during his four years, Trump (who, by the way, LOST the election) conducted and implemented his conservative agenda. I won’t argue that point with the Georgia official, because I think it’s more important to note that this man, who has been pressured not only by Trump, but also by my own state’s US Senator Lindsey Graham, has declared that the outcome in Georgia, and by inference the country, shows clearly that Biden will be President. Which also means,

TRUMP LOST.

It’s very strange that we have to praise an elected official, and an election official, for being honest and doing his or her job honestly — for certifying that an election in which he oversees is fair even though it produced an outcome for which he didn’t vote.

Because that’s what has always happened normally(although there have been noted problems, most recently Bush v. Gore, which I’ll comment more on in a minute): the smooth transfer of power after the election…
