Banning books — the American Dream
Once a Tennessean, always a Tennessean I suppose. I’m sure that almost 100 years later, plenty of the state’s citizens still argue that teaching Evolution in schools is equal to allowing Satan to date your son or daughter. And now they get to be joined by those who utter these sentiments:
“[Maus] shows people hanging, it shows them killing kids, why does the educational system promote this kind of stuff, it is not wise or healthy.”
