Thanks Brian! I recommend your getting a copy of Peter Guralnick's latest book, Looking to Get Lost, and I'd especially recommend for you his interview with Clapton. There were many Robert Johnson composed songs that Clapton wouldn't play, but he felt comfortable with "Crossroads" because he didn't have to worry about changing it to suit his own playing. The whole book is so good--deep diving into the Blues!
