Making comparisons always leaves the comparer open to crazy charges. From such wildly different eras, too, these parallels make sense, but aren't exactly fair to either artist. As a POP phenomenon, no argument that Taylor is up there. I also LOVE her sound, her artistry. Her impact seems solid enough--will it be for the next two generations? I'll likely not know, but I'm listening and buying as if she will be.
