Like so many other things in my experience being from the South, even though through segregation I listened mostly to white music or AM soul, the Blues and other older forms seeped into me, and so while i don't know all of these artists, I do know Big Mama Thornton and Bessie Smith, almost as if I was nurtured on them, which in a sense, I beleve I was. Thank you so much, Miyah, and keep 'em coming!
