Life is getting shorter all the time, and so when a book isn't doing it for me--and I'm very patient. I'll stop halfway through a 500 pager if i can't go on--it's on to the next one. Hasn't happened lately, but I also get paralyzed sometimes in choosing the next read because i hate to waste time!
