It's always hard discussing these issues and trying to understand someone you don't know's point of view. Ibrahim X. Kendi's books on slavery are instructive as to how the Bible and Christianity perpetrated slavery in Europe and in America. I have no use for organized religion any more, but I do understand that painting everyone and their beiefs with such broad strokes gets us nowhere. And yes, i can get self-righteous about my beliefs, which is why reading your pieces always keeps me thinking and re-assessing. Can't quite say the same for your antagonist!
