I loved reading this piece, Scot, because it's so personal, so full of rich and harsh scenes, and because you prove that the writer in all of us who write has to come out. I didn't know I loved writing until I started keeping a journal for high school English--even then, I didn't know what about or what KIND of writing I loved. It took anoth 30 years to even begin to figure that out. I'm so glad you've stuck with it and so happy we're fellow writers together!!!
