I get that, but I did have to learn through some bad times that i wasn't taught to treat everyone as i wanted to be treated, since my nature has always been to get closer to people I like. So when my parents told me to only speak if spoken to, regarding Black people, what they were telling me was to treat Black people differently from how i'd like to be treated or how I would treat anyine else.
