Hi Bill, I read both your pieces on Bruce and on Willie, and thought they captured something that's so hard to express: how place, the road, and music transcend the literal and the logical. When i take back roads back in Alabama, I'll think of Kings of Leon early and often, especially "Back Down South." And if I ever get to drive to Lexington, KY or Cincinnati (both places because of Bruce concerts early in my life) I'll think of him. In fact, I can see the road and hear him without trying. Thanks for your brilliant stories, and keep them coming!
