Great story, Frank. I was only able to catch the Joe Strummer Clash after the split. Great show, and my ears — I was 27 at the time — never recovered, so if you respond to this, write LOUDLY. In those days, I thought they were the only band that matters, and wrote a grad paper in my pop culture class on their marxist tastes. I thought I was soooo cool.
