Always love reading your columns. I've seen society change in so many good ways over the span of my life. The reality, though, is that racism and classism still permeate our country, and like you say, it starts with education. So much disparity there and it's getting worse in my region of the country--getting worse in the sense that hard-core racists are re-assuming power.
